Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Los Fresnos Falcons (Los Fresnos, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Vela advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Sabercats travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX) to face the Bears in a non-league test on Friday, August 16. The Bears go into the test with a record of 0-1. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Sharyland (Mission, TX)
