The Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN) volleyball knocked off the host Highland Trojans (Highland, IN), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Pirates now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Kankakee Valley for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 16.

With the loss, Highland falls to 0-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Kouts (Kouts, IN) to battle the Mustangs & Fillies in a non-league contest on Monday, August 18. The Mustangs & Fillies enter the contest with a record of 0-1. Kouts lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Marquette Catholic (Michigan City, IN)
