Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Leander Lions (Leander, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Vandegrift advances its record to 4-3 on the season. The Vipers travel to La Vernia (La Vernia, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league outing on Saturday, August 16. The Bears come into the outing with a record of 5-0. La Vernia won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against McNeil (Austin, TX)
