In their next game, the Trojans encounter the East Marion Eagles (Columbia, MS) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 16. West Marion will attempt to improve on its 7-2 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 3-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS).

The Wildcats now own a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bogue Chitto for a non-league contest on Saturday, August 16. Salem will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to North Pike (Summit, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-1.
