Bleckley County Royals (Cochran, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Swainsboro Tigers (Swainsboro, GA), 4-2 in a league challenge.

The Royals now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilcox County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 19. Bleckley County will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 9-3 league win over Wheeler County (Alamo, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Swainsboro falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host East Laurens (East Dublin, GA) to battle the Falcons in a 1A D-I Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, August 22. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. East Laurens won 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Valdosta (Valdosta, GA)
