Nebraska High School Softball - Lincoln East bounces Grand Island

The Lincoln East Spartans routed the visiting Grand Island Islanders softball squad by a final score of 11-2 in Thursday's league battle.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, NE). The Titans go into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Papillion-LaVista South topped North Platte (North Platte, NE), 9-2, in a non-league battle.

The Islanders now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Norfolk for a A District battle on Saturday, August 19. Grand Island will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 20-8 league loss to Lincoln Southwest (Lincoln, NE). The Panthers record now stands at 0-2.
