The Sterling Tigers got by the visiting Navajo Indians softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Thursday's league battle.
The Tigers (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Navajo (Altus, OK). The Indians go into the Class A battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Navajo nudged Hollis (Hollis, OK), 16-0, in a league battle.
The Indians now sport a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Sterling for a Class A battle on Thursday, August 17. Navajo will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Geronimo (Geronimo, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.
