The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Navajo Indians (Altus, OK) and the host Sterling Tigers (Sterling, OK), saw Navajo's softball squad nip Sterling by a count of 2-1.

The Indians now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hobart for a non-league match on Friday, August 18. Navajo will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Mooreland (Mooreland, OK). The Bearcats record now stands at 9-1.

With the loss, Sterling falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Marlow (Marlow, OK) to face the Outlaws in a non-league match on Friday, August 18. The Outlaws enter the match with a record of 0-8. Marlow lost 11-1 in their recent non-league match against Newcastle (Newcastle, OK)
