Texas High School Volleyball - Burton can't hold off Round Top-Carmine

In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Round Top-Carmine Cubs volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Burton Panthers.

The Cubs (12-6) will now prepare for their battle against Weimar (Weimar, TX). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Weimar nudged Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Panthers clash with the Schulenburg Shorthorns (Schulenburg, TX) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 22. Burton will attempt to advance on its 7-8 season record. The Shorthorns come into the battle with a 9-9 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to St. Joseph (Victoria, TX).
