North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mountain Island Charter over Sugar Creek Charter

The crowd at Tuesday's league battle between the Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the host Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), saw Mountain Island Charter's volleyball squad notch a victory over Sugar Creek Charter by a tally of 3-0.

The Raptors (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Palisades was beaten by Butler (Matthews, NC), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A test, on Thursday, August 21. Sugar Creek Charter will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Stallions go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 3-1 league loss to Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC).
