North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mountain Island Charter over Sugar Creek Charter

September 18, 2025: Mt. Holly, NC 28120

Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the visiting Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), observed Mountain Island Charter's volleyball team top Sugar Creek Charter by a tally of 3-0.

The Raptors (14-6) will now prepare for their test against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Rams go into the non-league challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, Highland Tech beat East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Sugar Creek Charter will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Stallions go into the test with a 4-12 record after their 3-0 league loss to Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC).
