The Briarwood Academy Buccaneers softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Edmund Burke Academy Spartans to 4 in the Buccaneers league win on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers now possess a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomas Jefferson Academy for a GIAA Class A & AA District 4 battle on Thursday, August 22. Briarwood Academy will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 12-5 league win over Brentwood (Sandersville, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Edmund Burke Academy moves to 4-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Bulloch Academy (Statesboro, GA) to confront the Gators in a non-league battle on Wednesday, August 21. The Gators come into the battle with a record of 4-1. Bulloch Academy lost 9-1 in their recent non-league battle against First Presbyterian Day (Macon, GA)
