The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA) and the visiting Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA), observed Edmund Burke Academy's softball team get by Briarwood Academy by a final score of 7-3.

The Spartans (6-2) will now prepare for their bout against Pinewood Christian (Bellville, GA). The Patriots go into the non-league bout with a 6-5 record. In their last bout, Pinewood Christian was routed by Brentwood (Sandersville, GA), 5-4, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Greenbrier Wolfpack (Evans, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, August 29. Briarwood Academy will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 9-6 non-league loss to Harlem (Harlem, GA).
