Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS) and the visiting East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS), observed George County's volleyball team top East Central by a count of 3-0.

The Rebels (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Greene County (Leakesville, MS). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Greene County was knocked off by Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hornets battle the West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 22. East Central will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Hurricanes enter the contest with a 4-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Gautier (Gautier, MS).
