Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS) and the host East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS), observed George County's volleyball team top East Central by a count of 2-0.

The Rebels (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hancock (Kiln, MS). The Hawks enter the Class 6A Region 4 contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Hancock notched a victory over Long Beach (Long Beach, MS), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hornets battle the St. Martin Yellow Jackets (Ocean Springs, MS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 26. East Central will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the contest with a 4-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS).
