In Wednesday's league test, the Newton Rams (Covington, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting South Gwinnett Comets (Snellville, GA), by a tally of 14-2.

Next, the Rams meet the Grovetown Warriors (Grovetown, GA) in a 6A Region 4 test, on Thursday, August 21. Newton will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record.

The Comets (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Rockdale County (Conyers, GA). The Bulldogs go into the 6A Region 4 test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Rockdale County was routed by Newton (Covington, GA), 14-0, in a league test.
