The South Gwinnett Comets softball squad (Snellville, GA), was routed 16-0 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Newton Rams (Covington, GA)

The Rams (7-6) will now prepare for their bout against Eastside (Covington, GA). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 12-0 record. In their last bout, Eastside gained a win over Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA), 15-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Grovetown Warriors (Grovetown, GA) in a 6A Region 4 bout, on Monday, September 15. South Gwinnett will attempt to advance on its 2-12 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Greenbrier (Evans, GA).
