The Lamar County Trojans softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Upson-Lee Knights to 2 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Lamar County moves its record to 8-1 on the year. The Trojans travel to Temple (Temple, GA) to clash with the Tigers in a 1A D-I Region 4 game on Tuesday, August 22. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 4-3. Temple won 11-2 in their recent non-league game against Chattooga (Summerville, GA)

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Pike County Pirates (Zebulon, GA) in a 3A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, August 22. Upson-Lee will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Pirates come into the game with a 2-5 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Strong Rock Christian (Locust Grove, GA).
