The Lamar County Trojans softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Upson-Lee Knights to 6 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Lamar County improves its record to 14-3 on the year. The Trojans host Taylor County (Butler, GA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league game on Monday, September 18. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 11-2. Taylor County won 17-1 in their recent league game against Manchester (Manchester, GA)

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Mary Persons Bulldogs (Forsyth, GA) in a 3A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, September 19. Upson-Lee will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 6-5 record after their 11-1 non-league win over St. Pius X Catholic (Atlanta, GA).
