The Langston Hughes Panthers softball team (Fairburn, GA), was routed 13-1 in Monday's league test with the host Paulding County Patriots (Dallas, GA)

Coming up next, the Patriots clash with the South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) in a 6A Region 5 test, on Tuesday, August 22. Paulding County will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 4-2 record after their 6-4 non-league win over Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA).

The Panthers (0-4) will now prepare for their test against New Manchester (Douglasville, GA). The Jaguar come into the 6A Region 5 test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, New Manchester overcame Pebblebrook (Mableton, GA), 1-0, in a non-league test.
