The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS) and the visiting Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS), saw Wayne County's volleyball squad beat Laurel by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Wayne County upgrades its record to 3-6 on the year. The War Eagles travel to Stone (Wiggins, MS) to play the Tomcats in a Class 5 Region 4 bout on Tuesday, August 22. The Tomcats go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Stone won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS)

The Golden Tornadoes now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host East Central for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 22.
