The Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA) softball nipped the visiting Bowdon Red Devils (Bowdon, GA), 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

The Braves now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Model for a 1A D-I Region 6 outing on Thursday, August 22. Heard County will encounter a Blue Devils team coming off a 6-1 league loss to Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Bowdon moves to 4-4 on the season. The Red devils travel to Callaway (Hogansville, GA) to encounter the Cavaliers in a non-league outing on Monday, August 26. The Cavaliers come into the outing with a record of 2-7. Callaway lost 12-0 in their recent league outing against Pike County (Zebulon, GA)
