The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Heard County Braves (Franklin, GA) and the host Bowdon Red Devils (Bowdon, GA), observed Heard County's softball team notch a victory over Bowdon by a final score of 12-1.

The Braves (12-4) will now prepare for their bout against Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA). The Rebels go into the 1A D-I Region 6 bout with a 7-7 record. In their last bout, Haralson County was routed by Pepperell (Lindale, GA), 4-2, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Red Devils battle the Manchester Blue Devils (Manchester, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 7 bout, on Thursday, September 12. Bowdon will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 15-1 league loss to Bowdon (Bowdon, GA).
