The Washington Patriots volleyball squad (Charles Town, WV), was edged 2-1 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV)

With the win, Hedgesville improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV) to encounter the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next, the Patriots meet the Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 23. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
