Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Flour Bluff Hornets (Corpus Christi, TX) and the host Dripping Springs Tigers (Dripping Springs, TX), observed Flour Bluff's volleyball team hold off Dripping Springs by a tally of 2-1.

The Hornets (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Tivy (Kerrville, TX). The Antlers go into the non-league test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Tivy was edged by Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX), 3-2, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to O'Connor for a non-league test on Thursday, August 21. Dripping Springs will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Warren (San Antonio, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 7-1.
