Texas High School Volleyball - Porter over South Houston

Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Porter Spartans (Porter, TX) and the host South Houston Trojans (South Houston, TX), observed Porter's volleyball team top South Houston by a count of 2-0.

The Spartans (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Tomas (Richmond, TX). The go into the non-league battle with a 0-8 record. In their last battle, Tomas dropped by Fulshear (Fulshear, TX), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Trojans now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to MacArthur for a non-league contest on Friday, August 22. South Houston will battle a Generals team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Heights (Houston, TX). The Generals record now stands at 2-8.
