Wesleyan Wolves (Norcross, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Wolves now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host West Hall for a 3A Region 7 challenge on Wednesday, August 23. Wesleyan will face a Spartans squad coming off a 8-4 league loss to White County (Cleveland, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Lumpkin County falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA) to face the Tigers in a 3A Region 7 challenge on Thursday, August 24. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Dawson County won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Gilmer (Ellijay, GA)
