The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX) and the host Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX), saw Henderson's volleyball squad beat Marshall by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Henderson upgrades its record to 9-8 on the year. The Lions travel to Texas (Texarkana, TX) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, August 25. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Texas won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Carthage (Carthage, TX)
The Mavericks now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Kilgore for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 24. Marshall will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Beckville (Beckville, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-7.
