Georgia High School Softball - Jefferson sneaks past Monroe Area

In Thursday's league match, the visiting Jefferson Dragons softball team scored a tight 6-5 win over the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes.
The Dragons (5-5) will now prepare for their match against East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Vikings come into the 3A Region 8 match with a 5-6 record. In their last match, East Hall was nipped by East Laurens (East Dublin, GA), 6-3, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Purple Hurricanes confront the Decatur Bulldogs (Decatur, GA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 24. Monroe Area will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 4-2 record after their 11-7 league win over Dunwoody (Dunwoody, GA).
