The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Providence Christian Academy Storm (Lilburn, GA) and the visiting Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), observed Providence Christian Academy's softball team get by Oglethorpe County by a tally of 5-3.

The Storm (5-5) will now prepare for their bout against Banks County (Homer, GA). The Leopards go into the 1A D-I Region 8 bout with a 11-2 record. In their last bout, Banks County tipped Loganville (Loganville, GA), 4-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Lake Oconee Academy Titans (Greensboro, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, August 24. Oglethorpe County will attempt to advance on its 7-2 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to North Oconee (Bogart, GA).
