In Thursday's non-league match, the Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) volleyball squad overcame the host St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints (Ridgeland, MS), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Cougars battle the Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) in a non-league match, on Monday, August 26. Newton County will attempt to advance on its 14-1 season record. The Rockets go into the game with a 10-2 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS).
