Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their flag football team achieve victory over the visiting Redington Huskies (Wasilla, AK), 36-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Lathrop advances its record to 1-3 on the season. The Malemutes host West Valley (Fairbanks, AK) to play the Wolf Pack in a Mid Alaska battle on Monday, August 25. The Wolf Pack go into the battle with a record of 2-1. West Valley won 13-0 in their recent league battle against Redington (Wasilla, AK)

The Huskies now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to West Valley for a Mid Alaska battle on Saturday, August 23. Redington will play a Wolf Pack team coming off a 13-12 non-league win over Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 1-0.
