Next, the Comets confront the Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL) in a Vermilion Valley battle, on Thursday, August 25. Oakwood/Catlin will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Warriors go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL).

The Hilltoppers (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bismarck-Henning (Bismarck, IL). The Blue Devils go into the battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Bismarck-Henning notched a victory over Iroquois West (Gilman, IL), 4-3, in a league battle.
