Illinois High School Soccer - Oakwood/Catlin knocks off Schlarman

Oakwood/Catlin Comets (Fithian, IL) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Schlarman Hilltoppers (Danville, IL), 7-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Comets confront the Iroquois West Raiders (Gilman, IL) in a Vermilion Valley challenge, on Saturday, September 17. Oakwood/Catlin will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record.

The Hilltoppers now possess a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin for a Vermilion Valley challenge on Tuesday, September 20. Schlarman will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Urbana University (Urbana, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-8.
