North Carolina High School Volleyball - Smoky Mountain tips Cherokee

August 23, 2022: Cherokee, NC 28719

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) volleyball squad edged the host Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Mustangs battle the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) in a Mountain Seven 3A contest, on Thursday, August 25. Smoky Mountain will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Bears come into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC).

With the loss, Cherokee drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC) to battle the Bobcats in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 25. The Bobcats come into the contest with a record of 0-3. Blue Ridge Early College lost 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Swain County (Bryson City, NC)
