North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mountain Island Charter can't hold off Palisades

In Saturday's non-league match, the Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC), by a count of 2-1.

Next up, the Pumas confront the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, August 26. Palisades will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 3-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC).

The Raptors (5-4) will now prepare for their bout against Carolina International (Concord, NC). The Comets come into the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, Carolina International was nudged by Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
