In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Weatherford Eagles volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Newcastle Racers.
The Eagles (12-1) will now prepare for their test against Clinton (Clinton, OK). The Red Tornadoes go into the Wichita Mountain test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Clinton was edged by Weatherford (Weatherford, OK), 2-0, in a league test.
The Racers now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clinton for a non-league test on Saturday, August 23. Newcastle will face a Red Tornadoes squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Weatherford (Weatherford, OK). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 1-3.
