Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Weatherford Eagles (Weatherford, OK) and the visiting Newcastle Racers (Newcastle, OK), observed Weatherford's volleyball team top Newcastle by a count of 2-0.

The Eagles (26-5) will now prepare for their contest against Tecumseh (Tecumseh, OK). The Savages go into the non-league battle with a 18-10 record. In their last battle, Tecumseh was defeated by North Rock Creek (Shawnee, OK), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Racers now own a 10-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bethany for a non-league battle on Monday, September 22. Newcastle will encounter a Bronchos squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Heritage Hall (Oklahoma City, OK). The Bronchos record now stands at 20-1.
