Schley County Wildcats (Ellaville, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bryan County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 27. Schley County will face a Redskins squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Metter (Metter, GA). The Redskins record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Upson-Lee falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Knights host Lamar County (Barnesville, GA) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 25. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Lamar County lost 10-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Marion County (Buena Vista, GA)
