The Giles Spartans topped the host Pulaski County Cougars volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Spartans now have a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Radford for a non-league test on Monday, August 28. Giles will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Pulaski County moves to 1-1 on the year. The Cougars host Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 29. The Cavaliers go into the contest with a record of 0-1. Carroll County lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Pulaski County (Dublin, VA)
