The Pike County Pirates softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Mary Persons Bulldogs to 1 in the Pirates league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Pike County moves its record to 4-5 on the year. The Pirates travel to Peach County (Fort Valley, GA) to clash with the Trojans in a 3A Region 2 game on Tuesday, August 29. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 3-2.

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Jackson Red Devils (Jackson, GA) in a 3A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, August 29. Mary Persons will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Red Devils come into the game with a 10-1 record after their 13-0 non-league win over Calvary Day (Savannah, GA).
