The Pike County Pirates softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Mary Persons Bulldogs to 0 in the Pirates league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Pike County moves its record to 12-8 on the year. The Pirates host Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA) to clash with the Knights in a 3A Region 2 game on Tuesday, September 26. The Knights come into the game with a record of 2-15. Upson-Lee lost 18-12 in their recent non-league game against Perry (Perry, GA)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Peach County Trojans (Fort Valley, GA) in a 3A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, September 26. Mary Persons will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Trojans come into the game with a 5-9 record after their 5-4 league loss to Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA).
