The Anahuac Panthers held off the host Woodville Eagles volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Panthers now have a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burkeville for a non-league test on Thursday, August 24. Anahuac will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.

The Eagles (0-5) will now prepare for their test against Evadale (Evadale, TX). The Rebels enter the non-league test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Evadale was nudged by Buna (Buna, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.
