With the win, Owensboro upgrades its record to 3-5 on the year. The Red Devils travel to Apollo (Owensboro, KY) to play the Eagles in a District 9 bout on Tuesday, August 29. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-3.

The Panthers now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to South Warren for a non-league bout on Monday, August 28. Daviess County will play a Spartans squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Bowling Green (Bowling Green, KY). The Spartans record now stands at 2-6.
