Lincoln East Spartans (Lincoln, NE) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), 3-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 25. Lincoln East will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Dragons come into the match with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 league loss to Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, NE).

With the loss, Grand Island drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Islanders host Norfolk (Norfolk, NE) to clash with the Panthers in a A District match on Tuesday, August 29.
