The San Gabriel Mission Pioneers held off the visiting Serra Cavaliers volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's league test.

The Pioneers now have a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lucerne Valley for a non-league test on Saturday, August 26. San Gabriel Mission will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Trona (Trona, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-1.

The Cavaliers (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Ramona Convent (Alhambra, CA). The Tigers enter the Santa Fe test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Ramona Convent was nudged by Crescenta Valley (La Crescenta, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
