In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host East Ridge Warriors volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Belfry Pirates.

The Warriors (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY). The Cougars / Lady Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Letcher County Central edged Cordia (Hazard, KY), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates play the Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY) in a District 60 challenge, on Monday, August 26. Belfry will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Phelps (Phelps, KY).
