Cedartown Bulldogs (Cedartown, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Southeast Whitfield County Raiders (Dalton, GA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Zion for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 27. Cedartown will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 14-5 non-league loss to Darlington (Rome, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Southeast Whitfield County falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA) to battle the Bruins in a 4A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, August 30. The Bruins enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Northwest Whitfield won 11-3 in their recent league challenge against Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA)
