The Edmund Burke Academy Spartans softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Bulloch Academy Gators to 0 in the Spartans non-league win on Monday.

The Spartans now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Briarwood Academy for a GIAA Class A & AA District 4 challenge on Tuesday, August 26. Edmund Burke Academy will meet a Buccaneers squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 2-2.

The Gators (1-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount de Sales Academy (Macon, GA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Mount de Sales Academy was routed by Calvary Christian (Columbus, GA), 16-0, in a non-league battle.
