In Monday's non-league test, the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA) softball team routed the host Bulloch Academy Gators (Statesboro, GA), by a margin of 10-0.

The Spartans now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomas Jefferson Academy for a GIAA Class A & AA District 4 outing on Thursday, September 11. Edmund Burke Academy will encounter a Jaguars team coming off a 13-0 league loss to Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-6.

With the defeat, Bulloch Academy drops to 1-12 on the campaign. The Gators travel to David Emanuel Academy (Stillmore, GA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 8-1. David Emanuel Academy won 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Thomas Jefferson Academy (Louisville, GA)
